AMERICAN COLLEGE OF HISTORY AND LEGAL STUDIES OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFIED STUDENTS

SALEM, NH—The American College of History and Legal Studies is offering scholarships up to $5,000 for exceptional students who plan to enroll for the fall semester of 2011.

Students with outstanding GPAs at a four-year institution or a community college who have completed a minimum of 60 credits will be eligible for the scholarships. Individual scholarship awards will be determined upon review of completed applications for acceptance to the ACHLS.

“We are pleased to reward those who have excelled in the classroom and now elect to finish their bachelor’s degrees at the American College of History and Legal Studies, which has also set high standards for excellence,” said Michael Chesson, founding professor and dean. “We recognize that these deserving scholars have the ability to succeed at the ACHLS, where the curriculum is rigorous.”

The ACHLS is a senior college offering the junior and senior years of undergraduate study and grants bachelor’s degrees in history and legal studies.

The ACHLS, which was created by the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, is unlike any other college in the country as it focuses exclusively on the study of American history. The high quality education, which stresses critical thinking and analysis, will allow graduates to compete with anybody in today’s competitive marketplace. It will make them become better writers and more fluent public speakers.

Qualified students gain early admission into the Massachusetts School of Law and may combine their senior year of college with their first year of law school, saving both time and tuition, as they earn their bachelor’s and law degrees. Those who wish to attend another law school or enter a different field will be fully prepared to succeed upon graduation.

The rigorous education at the American College of History and Legal Studies is also affordable. Tuition is only $10,000 per year and the scholarships may reduce that amount up to $5,000 per year.
