Pathways to Law School

For students who dream of becoming a lawyer, ACHLS is not only the ultimate in pre-law education, but for qualified students, The American College of History and Legal Studies will decrease the time it takes for you to earn your BA and JD degree by a full year, saving you time and money.

ACHLS's Early Admissions to Law School Program allows a qualifying ACHLS student to combine her senior year at ACHLS in New Hampshire with her first year of law school at the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover.

Approximately 17 similar programs are offered throughout the United States. The Early Admissions to Law School Program allows a student to obtain a joint BA/JD degree within six years, as opposed to the traditional seven years to complete both. Prerequisites to participate in the Early Admissions to Law School Program are outlined on www.achls.org and in the catalog.

ACHLS offers additional pathways to law school for students who may not qualify for our Early Admissions to Law School program, but whose goal it is to study pre-law and earn a JD degree.
