Associate Justice Joseph A. Trainor Visits the ACHLS
Associate Justice Joseph A. Trainor of the Massachusetts Appeals Court visited The American College of History and Legal Studies as a guest lecturer on November 18, 2011. Justice Trainor spoke to the ACHLS students about how Puritan jurisprudence and culture are still relevant and present in the Massachusetts court system to this day. Justice Trainor also shared stories from his storied career in the Massachusetts court system, from the Juvenile Court to the Appeals Court. During the light refreshments after the lecture, the students expressed their gratitude to Justice Trainor for sharing his time and insights with them. Justice Trainor was very generous in meeting and greeting all students personally, and in fielding questions about both his lecture on Puritanism, and about his career in the legal system.
