Taught by Pulitzer nominated historian and ACHLS founding Dean, Michael Chesson, this five minute video showcases an ACHLS American History class covering Leslie Howard Owens' This Species of Property, Slave Life and Culture in the Old South.

There are no lectures at ACHLS. All classes are taught by the Harkness discussion method and all students actively participate. ACHLS' curriculum is designed to improve a students reading, writing, critical thinking and speaking skills, all skills important to any field you wish to enter.
